Support During Your Studies
The Undergraduate Global Pathways Program is more than just classes and homework.
As an Undergraduate Global Pathways student, you will be supported by a network
of individuals who are dedicated to helping you navigate issues such as housing,
immigration, and adjusting to life in a new country, as well as offering academic
assistance.
ORIENTATION
Attending a university in a foreign country can be complicated and challenging.
The Global Pathways office at the University of Utah helps make your transition
to U.S. university life easy so your university experience is both positive and
successful. We help with everything from an airport welcome to advice on from opening
a bank account and getting around Salt Lake City. We also help connect you to the
many organizations and student groups across campus to enhance your academic and
social education while at the University of Utah.
STUDENT ADVISORS
Each Undergraduate Global Pathways student is assigned a Student Advisor—someone
you can count on for answers to the many questions that life in a new school and
new country can bring. Your Student Advisor can help you with everything from questions
about U.S. culture to an unexpected challenge in one of your classes.
IMMIGRATION
Our International Center and Global Pathways staff will help you every step of the
way in your student visa process. We will provide you with all necessary documents
for your visa application and advise you on maintaining your nonimmigrant visa status
after you arrive in the U.
